Forge - Theme settings

Theme settings exist to control the appearance of content and set the base style for your store. Where sections might have their own individual settings, theme settings are here to cover repeated or static content.

Favicon

Upload a favicon image which will be displayed in the Browser tab and bookmark toolbar.

Typography

Globally control the appearance of text content in your store

• Main font, size and letter spacing
• Navigation font, size, capitalization and letter spacing
• Heading font, size (page titles, section titles and subheadings) and letter spacing
• Capitalization options for Navigation and Buttons

Colors

Control the color scheme for different areas of your store which include:

• General
• Announcement bar
• Mobile header

Age Verification

Keeps your stores content away from a younger audience with an age verification popup

Cart

There are several options available for controlling the look and feel of your shopping cart, we recommend trying them all to see your preference.

• Cart type
  Choose the behavior when clicking the Cart button
  Page only:Go to the cart page
  Drawer cart:Open the cart in a side drawer
  Page only - no automatic updates:Go to the cart page, no automatic updating when adding/removing products
• Enable additional checkout buttons
  Buttons will only show in the cart type selected.
• Show cart note box
  Allows customers to leave a note on their order.

• Show shipping estimator
  Shipping calculator will show on the cart page only, not in the drawer. Good for customers to see an estimate on how much shipping will be.

• Show free shipping countdown
  Toggle to show banner in cart area for customer to see if they are eligible for free shipping.
• Qualifying price for free shipping
  Enter whole number here that reflects how much customer needs to achieve in order to get free shipping.
• Color scheme choice
  Choose a color scheme that will change the colors of the banner.

• Upsell title
  Show a title for the cart area that shows the upsell products.
• Product list
  Choose products that you want to upsell, and they will show in your cart.
• Color scheme choice
  Choose a color scheme that will change the colors of this area.

Global

Set your preferences for content across your store

• Section spacing
  Select px of spacing above and below sections.
• Section headings
  Choose an alignment of center or left for your section headings.
• Site animations
  Choose from many different styles of animations for your Sections and Content.
• Section link buttons
  Select an animation style for links that appear as buttons in sections like slideshows, image galleries, blog posts, and more. Border and Background animation choices.
• Search
  Toggle options like only showing products in results and enabling product suggestions. Can also show a suggested menu list in the search slideout drawer.
• Customer pages
  Show a sidebar link to shop email address.
• Keyboard focus
  Can choose a border color, style, and weight.

Collection grid

Settings for the collection grid items shown in collection lists.

• Show collection product count: Show the product count for each collection.
• Bold collection titles: Toggle to make collection titles bold.
• Collection title position: Choose to show collection title below image, floating on image, or floating on image if hovered over.

Product Grid

Set the visible options for products when viewed in a grid ( collection pages, search, featured collection sections )

• Image ratio
  Toggle control of images to help keep images sized consistently. Good for keeping a grid uniform where product images have been uploaded with differing sizes. (Natural, Square, Vertical or Horizontal)
• Product grid text
  Set a preferred alignment of the product title and price info
• Enable offset product grid
• Show product vendor
• New icon product range
  Shows a new icon on products created within this many days.
• Switch product images on hover
  Show 2nd product image when hovering on a product
• Show product videos
• Show sizes
• Show color swatches

Products

Choose available options which are available for a single product when viewed in either a product page or featured product section.

• Product variant style
  Choose to display swatch buttons or a dropdown menu for selecting variants
• Show color swatches
  Toggle color swatches
• Color swatch shape
  Choose Circle, Square, or Rectangle swatches
• Color swatch style
  Custom images, allow you to upload color specific images (see guide)
  Zoomed in variant images ( shows the variant image assigned to the color )
  Default color ( Uses the HTML color chart to show a solid color )
• Swatch option name
  Add comma separated option titles like color, colour, colore to dictate where color swatches should be used
• Show dynamic checkout button
• When adding to the cart
  Select cart behavior when adding items by opening the cart or remaining on the current page.

Social media

Add links to your chosen social media channels. Pay special attention to the formatting required for each social channel.

Jewelry

Settings specific to the Jewelry industry.

• Metal swatches
  Enable these swatches for product options named Color or Metal show swatch gradient or color selected below. Gradients will override colors. Learn more here.
• Color swatches: For each type of metal swatch that the theme supports.
• Metal swatches
  For karat based metals, show a kt weight label on swatch (10kt, 14kt, 18kt, 22kt, 24kt). Learn more here.
